Paris Saint-Germain’s record goalscorer Edinson Cavani and commander Thiago Silva will leave the club after the finish of the UEFA Champions League crusade, the Ligue 1 side’s brandishing chief has said.
The two players’ agreements are expected to lapse in June and Leonardo disclosed to Le Journal du Dimanche that they would not be given expansions.
Cavani, who joined PSG from Napoli in 2013, is the club’s unsurpassed top scorer with 200 objectives in all rivalries and has shown up. “It was a troublesome choice to make, they are players who transformed the club’s history,” Leonardo said.
“We needed to settle on a choice dependent on rationale.” Both players will be engaged with the UCL crusade, which is required to be finished up in August. PSG qualified for the quarterfinals in the wake of wiping out Borussia Dortmund in the last 16.
